April 2014 is when the official productive strategy for Alfa Romeo will be revealed. Trade union delegates reported this yesterday and they’ve already received some information in regards to the remaining insecurity around factories such as Mirafiori and Cassino. We all know about the planned Maserati SUV from Mirafiori already, but it seems that particularly Alfa Romeo is the brand which they will be focusing on. Investments outside of Turin will be announced for the first time, and they will also appeal to the production location near Cassino. The so-called ‘third phase’ (Melfi was the second one after Pomigliano) is approaching, then.

A flagship model from Turin is almost certain, but that’s only one model of many to come. The announcement we’ve been promised at the end of this month – and which the trade unions were already hoping for last year – was not mentioned yesterday and remains secret. Cassino might be the place where Alfa’s future mid segment will be coming from, though nothing has been confirmed yet.

    Die plannen die hebben we al 100 keer gezien en 100 keer veranderen die weer of worden ze in de ijskast gezet, wordt tijd dat de volgende stap eens gezet wordt......
