Request for help regarding Stelvio gearbox

Hello,
I apologize in advance for my English. I am looking for a gearbox repair shop for my Stelvio diesel. Joel from JTD Performance was particularly attentive and patient with me and my problems (for which I am infinitely grateful) and directed me to GS Powerflush Uden, but the gentlemen there do not want to pay any attention to me at all. I do not know why. Maybe because I am not Dutch! .. So my question is if anyone can direct me to such a garage in the Den Bosch region. Or can someone else here who deals with gearboxes help with my problem?

Perhaps Van Doorn & Top in Nijkerkerveen can help you with the gearbox. Be aware of the fact that pretty much shops are very busy due to a lack of staff. That might also be the reason that you didn't get any response of the shop in Uden

You can call Autrans in Tilburg or Lunteren. They're specialized in ZF gearboxes.

Autrans is a good suggestion.
Nice people, all the knowledge. They flushed my gearbox some months ago.

I talked to Autrans, but they can't accept me until January 8th. That's not an option for me. The car needs to be done within two weeks.

It doesn't work well.. It shakes, kicks when shifting, kicks down, etc. .. It doesn't do it every time, but enough to make me nervous.
I want to flush it and see if it fixes it. If not, I'll probably repair the torque converter.

Sounds more like something Electronic. Autrans Lunteren knows a lot about the zf8. Lunteren is their automatic transmition division.

According to zf a flush selden solves problems.

What is your milage?

Almost 250,000.. But Autrans can't help me until January 8th. That's the problem. Otherwise, I think that with a flush, things will be fine. Eventually, I'll book an appointment at flushed.nl

Reading this, probably the solenoids are a bit clogged up so you need a full flush not a regular change of trans fluid, that won’t help a thing. You won’t be able to get it back to completely smooth with a full flush but it won’t be irratic like it is now. The bucking your experiencing can also come from wear on the clutches (a ZF8HP50 has a few clutches and brakes that are actuated by the solenoids). If they wear the timing to close and open won’t match giving tiny difference in in and output shafts and that also can give jolts.

You could try a full flush. I hope it helps.
Last weekend I changed the oil and filter on my BMW X3 F25 ZF8 with 270,000 km.
It still shifted smoothly otherwise I wouldn't have bought the X3.
After the change it still shifts just fine as before. No diffference.
I did notice that there was quite a bit of fine metal swarf stuck to the magnets in the pan. Luckily there were no metal fragments in the oil pan.
I did the change myself. It cost me €200.
I recommend everyone to change the oil and filter every 200,000 km.

Here's an update:
The gearbox was flushed in GS Powerflush. The drained oil was not the right one - some red. Now after the flush, some rattling appeared from below at speeds above 70 km/h. It is especially audible in 7th and 8th gear at low revs when you give in to the gas. I don't know what it is. In addition, the engine shakes at idle. But when you give in to the gas, the shaking disappears. The car jerks from time to time when moving. I don't know anymore.. I'm desperate! .. I've had the car for 6 months, and I've actually driven it for 3 weeks. I think the torque converter is dead. The car is currently at Joel's and I hope he can unravel the whole mystery.
In conclusion, I think .. I had decided that after the Giulietta I wouldn't buy any more Alfas, but I bought them anyway. The new Alfa Romeo models unfortunately have nothing in common in terms of strength, reliability with the old ones. Too many problems with engines, no matter diesel or petrol. Too many dramas with electronics. And what else! .. I am aware that I have come across a crappy car, but in the end the quality of these new models is far from expected. I have a friend who bought a brand new Giulia QV and has driven less than 100k kilometers and he is looking for a new engine right now. The problem with me is that I sold my Giulietta and now I am really without a car. I don't know what will happen to the Stelvio, but I think I will go and buy a brand new one from the store, any brand of car, just so that it has a warranty and I don't have to worry anymore.. I am tired of being a slave to some pile of iron and plastic that brings me stress periodically!

Im so so sorry to read this, that’s just really tough luck.
Look, obviously somebody basically destroyed what is known to be a very reliable transmission by putting a wrong type of oil in. This hasn’t to do with the brand Alfa as these exact gearboxes are in Toyota’s loads and loads of BMW’s, Jaguars and countless of other brands.
I’ve had a similar unlucky situation with a BMW in the past where an engine rebuilt was done wrong and also immediately got rid of it where I probably lost more money than putting a new 6 pot engine in it. So I would advise you to also look into if a replacement (used) ZF 8HP50  is an option, maybe JTD have contacts for that?
