Indeed.
But you have the pictures and in the end...pistons are needed in the engine!

They are designed and supplied by Performance unlimited here in the UK, but made by CP in the USA.

These ones are to be fitted with Total Seal Rings & have Cailco Skirt Coating...

No Progress on the engine.... Well I have now had the liners machined and the Stainless o-rings installed & the pistons are back from balancing, they now all weigh the same as the first set of pistons, so there will be no need to rebalance the whole engine assembly :)
I havent started the rebuild, as I want to finish the other jobs on the car first. I have had a mock loom for the engine made from string & my new Tuner is making up the loom for the new ECU.

I havent been idle, & have finished the wiring changes that I need to do & I have mounted sensors for traction control, as well as remaking various water pipes for the engine and charge cooler.

The Gear Lever I have fabricated is finaly finished and back from the Anodisers & Powder Coaters......................







I have also been working installing new sensors fro the New ECU Both For Control and Logging.

Fuel Pressure, 3 EGT Sensors 2 LAmbda Sensors Charge Cooling air and water sensors ETC & have a new throttle pedal hooked up the a vauxhall throttle Pedal Pot..

Well Finally the engine is rebuilt, The heads have been skimmed and the liners have a stainless 1mm wire o-ring installed in the top face.. Liners honed, new pistons & total seal rings.









Coil on Plug are Audi R8 Coils with alloy adaptors I made (I cant get the Alfa coils in due to the charge cooler and having the plenum on the other head...





Unfortunately it is now time for me to go back to work, so that is it until October...

On the plus side my new tuner will have 2 months to make uo the new engine loom......
